Pregnancy Test (Beta HCG)

The Beta HCG test measures human chorionic gonadotropin hormone in blood. HCG is produced by the placenta during pregnancy and detected in blood about 11 days after conception.

Who Should Take This Test?

Used to confirm pregnancy, monitor pregnancy progression, detect ectopic pregnancy or potential miscarriage, and as part of prenatal screening tests.

How It Works

A blood sample is taken from a vein in your arm and analyzed for hCG levels. Blood tests can detect pregnancy earlier than urine tests.
